BOSS Dark Blue is a spicy-oriental men's eau de toilette launched in 1999, created by perfumers Alain Astori and Beatrice Piquet. It has stayed in the HUGO BOSS line-up for over two decades and is sold heavily through discount, duty-free and travel retail — one of the brand's classic men's signatures.
The fragrance opens bright and zesty with grapefruit, lime, orange and lemon, sharpened by a ginger-ale accord. The heart is the characterful part: a spicy, aromatic blend of geranium, cardamom, cypress, sage and mahogany with a floral-ozone lift, giving it a sharp, confident, slightly old-school masculine edge. The base is warm and seductive — patchouli, suede, benzoin, cedar and vanilla with touches of labdanum and tobacco — a rich, slightly sweet, woody finish.
