“Malaki” means royal — and Rose Malaki (2014) is Chopard's tribute to the sacred rose of Middle Eastern perfumery, signed by Firmenich's Amandine Clerc-Marie. It is the romantic heart of the Malaki collection, housed in a gold-capped flacon worthy of the name. The opening is regal spice: saffron, cardamom and papyrus. The heart blooms into Rose Absolu (Damask rose) and a fresh rose-petal accord, wrapped in a smoky leather nuance that keeps it grown-up and carnal. The base is a warm, enveloping trail of Atlas cedar, patchouli and vanilla. An eau de parfum of serious stamina — expect 6–8 hours with a rich, elegant sillage.
